Jan Powell - President

Jan has lived in Hemet for over 30 years and holds several teaching credentials for working with students who have severe disabilities as well as school administration. Jan brings 28 years of experience working with children with special needs and their families to our board.


Margaret Nambiar, M.D. -Vice President

Margaret is an ophthalmologist who has been practicing for 26 years. Dr. Nambiar lives in Hemet with her husband Mani, who is also a physician. Dr. Nambiar comes to the board with the experience of managing a business, as a mother of a child with a disability, and as a physician having examined the eyes of many children and adults with disabilities.  


Felice Connolly -Treasurer 

Felice has a college degree in accounting from a University in the Philippines. She is also a member of the Riverside County In House Supportive Services Advisory Committee. Felice has volunteered for several organizations in the field of disabilities, and is a strong advocate for her daughter who has a disability. 


Steve Lopez - member

Steve has lived in Hemet since 1961 and went through the Hemet public school system. Steve attended  Mt. San Jacinto College and worked for the San Jacinto School system as a Bilingual aide for grades 2 and 3.  Steve worked for Alamo Rent A Car for 23 years and is currently retired. Steve's daughter, Amber Stokes, is EEK's Volunteer President. Steve has three family members who have special needs and has a passion for children and young adults with disabilities.


Erica Sandoval - Co-Founder & Executive Director

Erica has a certification in youth training and also has certifications in child development. Erica has two children including Unity who has Autism.

Erica and Sue Marabito founded EEK in 2005 for their own children, Joey and Unity.
